Notes

To edit these notes, go to Template:Cabal Shadow Priest notes.

  • If you play Cabal Shadow Priest onto a board of 6 other friendly minions, targeting an enemy minion, the enemy minion will be destroyed instead of stolen (as your board is full).[2]
  • If you use  Brann Bronzebeard plus Cabal Shadow Priest and fill your board to 7 minions with the first steal, the second steal will not destroy the minion.[3]

Lore

Warcraft Wiki icon.pngThis section uses content from the Warcraft Wiki.

The Cabal is a dark cult that is a sub-organization of the Shadow Council and operates exclusively in Outland. They are led by Grandmaster Vorpil and Blackheart the Inciter. The organization's members have holdings in the Bone Wastes and external ruins of Auchindoun in Terokkar Forest and in the Shadow Labyrinth of Auchindoun.

Trivia

  • The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Blood of Gladiators" series, for the card Focused Will.
  • In older patches, players were prevented from playing Cabal Shadow Priest altogether unless they had room for the stolen minion.[4]
  • On closer inspection, the Cabal Shadow Priest can be seen wearing highly similar clothes to  Northshire Cleric, as well as having black hair. Whether they are indeed the same person or even if they are simply from the same priestly order, this would bring a horrifying implication in regards to her flavor text.
  • Interestingly, the card depicts a human, when there are none in the Outland cult.
