Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Before match

Illidan Stormrage (present)
I did what had to be done... but my own people feared what I had become. They came for me...

Introduction

Cenarius
Illidan! Answer for your crimes!
Illidan Stormrage
Malfurion sent you instead of fighting me himself?! Coward.

Emote Response

Cenarius
You do not speak for my trees.

Hero Power

Cenarius
Every tree and twig rises against you.
Fight for the forests.
Growing strong!

Idle

Cenarius
I always thought you might be a bad seed.
You have betrayed us all.
You should have listened to your brother. He has a fertile mind.

Turn 1

Malfurion Stormrage
I am sorry that it has come to this.
Illidan Stormrage
No, you're not!

Turn 3

Tyrande Whisperwind
Illidan, what have you become?
Illidan Stormrage
What I must be.

Boss' turn 3

Cenarius
Your defilement cannot stand!

Turn 4

Illidan Stormrage
I saved all of you, and this is what I get in return!

Turn 5

Illidan Stormrage
If you cannot see my bravery, see my anger!

Boss' turn 5

Malfurion Stormrage
Demonic power courses through you, brother. What have you done?

Turn 6

Cenarius
Nature always triumphs.

 Warglaives of Azzinoth

Tyrande Whisperwind
What are these demonic weapons?

 Inner Demon

Tyrande Whisperwind
Illidan! You fight like they do! What are you!?

Killing  Priestess Maiev

Malfurion Stormrage
Betrayer... The bonds of kin are broken between us.

Victory

Illidan Stormrage
Hah! I spit on your petty notions of justice! I make my own laws, my own path!
Illidan Stormrage (present)
At least, that's what should have happened...
Cenarius
Illidan. Betrayer. You must pay for your crimes...
Illidan Stormrage (present)
Instead, I was imprisoned in darkness for TEN. THOUSAND. YEARS.
But I was still their savior... and the first of the demon hunters!

Lore[edit | edit source]

Warcraft Wiki icon.pngThis section uses content from the Warcraft Wiki.
Cenarius, Lord of the Forest and patron god of all druids, is one of the most powerful and influential demigods of Azeroth.
Worshipped by the night elves since their early history, the Son of  Malorne taught the elves to be druids and embrace nature, as opposed to the arcane-inclined Highborne and the religiously-inclined Sisterhood of Elune. He served as a commander of the forces of Kalimdor in the War of the Ancients after the death of his father.
After Malorne's death, he discovered that  Illidan Stormrage had created a second Well of Eternity.  Jarod Shadowsong left Illidan's punishment to Malfurion, who felt it would be the height of folly to leave Illidan free to continue his reckless pursuit of power. Thus, with Cenarius's help, Malfurion sealed Illidan within a vast underground barrow prison, there to remain chained and powerless until the end of time.
