Notes

To edit these notes, go to Template:Dread Corsair notes.

  • The mana cost of this card is reduced by the current Attack attribute of the player's equipped weapon, thus including effects that buff the Attack of the weapon (such as  Deadly Poison) but not effects that directly buff the Attack of the hero (such as  Heroic Strike).
  • The mana cost of this card cannot be reduced below 0. However, further cost-reductions can help in countering cost-increasing effects like  Freezing Trap.
  • This card has an in-hand effect: it modifies its own mana cost only while in the player's hand, and not while the card is anywhere else.

Lore

The Dread Corsairs are the pirates under Dread Captain DeMeza, a seasonal character who appears in Booty Bay each year as part of the Pirates' Day celebration in World of Warcraft. Interacting with her grants players the Dread Corsair buff, temporarily changing their appearance to resemble one of her pirate crew.
