- Fel Summoner went through multiple changes over the course of final design as the team homed in on how the big demon deck would play.
- The earliest design was Bind to the Cause, a 4-mana spell with the text: "Summon a Demon from your deck. Make it Dormant for 2 turns."
- Another design was 6 mana 4/6 minion with the text: "Taunt. Deathrattle: Summon a Demon from your deck."[2]
