Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This Hero Power's title refers to the spell rank system, used in World of Warcraft prior to Cataclysm. Instead of spells simply growing more powerful as the player increased in level, each spell was available in multiple ranks, with higher ranks offering proportionately greater effects. Players would have to travel to their class trainers to learn each new rank of each spell in order to use it, with a new rank available every few levels. While largely unimportant, the system did allow for strategies such as downranking, the practice of intentionally using a lower rank of a spell, in order to avoid wasting mana, or reduce cast time.
