Datamined information about Mercenaries in 23.0. Spoiler alert!
Strange new minion type[edit source]
We detected a new minion type declared in 23.0.0.135540 with the internal name OLDGOD and id 93, which is right above NAGA whose id is 92. Keep in mind that all game modes share the same metadata for minion types. It's up to you to speculate about this. Personally we don't think it means much, because there are still minion types unused.
New bounties and a new mercenary?[edit source]
We detected some new voicelines and had reason to believe they would be used in Mercenaries. They seem to be voicelines used for bosses. Usually bosses in Mercenaries have 4 voicelines: Intro, which plays at the start of game, Attack when they use one of their "signature" abilities, Idle when you are taking time, and Death when they die. Collectible mercenaries also have Bark voicelines, which are mainly used for their tasks.
Here is the list of new voicelines. You can also check this by yourself on your PC device at Hearthstone\Strings\enUS\MISSION_AUDIO.txt.

Judging by the voiceline's global names, it seems that we might get 6 new bounties: Acolyte of N'Zoth, Warlord Rekes, Gigafin (His Constructed card's string id is TSC_962), Lady Alisstra, Captain Shivers, and Cho'gall. Interestingly, Cho'gall has some Bark sounds defined, which means Cho'gall might also be a collectible mercenary very soon.
Fortunately, all of these voicelines already have their audio files represented in client data. Let's check out.

Unfortunately, none of these characters do not a card entity defined yet. However, there are some new other card entities, which might be just regular enemies you may encounter in these new bounties since they all have a Common rarity. Keep in mind that attack/health stats is irrelevant!
There are some new unknown abilities.
Clearly all of these new card entities and abilities are not supposed to be used in-game yet because they look unfinished.

- Old: Gain 320 Health using Offensive Rally.
- New: Deal 320 damage using Tribal Warfare.
