- The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Betrayal of the Guardian" series, for the card Highland Lion.
- The part of this card's flavor text "In the jungle, the mighty jungle" is from the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", which was used in the Disney film "The Lion King". The film, which features a lion being devoured by hyenas, is referenced by both this card's Deathrattle and flavor text.
