- This card's Battlecry will improve
C'Thun regardless of whether C'Thun is currently in the player's deck or hand, on the battlefield.[1] This can work, like all other C'Thun cards, even if there are no C'Thuns in your deck or battlefield. - Skeram Cultist will not be included in Arena picks (along with C'Thun and all other related cards).[2] However, they may still appear in Arena matches through random effects.[3]

Skeram Cultist appears to be a member of the cult led by Prophet Skeram. Skeram and his cult are qiraji, a race of creatures created by C'Thun.
This section uses content from the Warcraft Wiki.- The Prophet Skeram is an important religious leader in Ahn'Qiraj, and author of The Prophecy of C'Thun. He is the first boss found in the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, and must be defeated for access to the rest of the zone.

- This minion's summon quote "The Sleeper has awoken!" apparently refers to C'Thun, but is likely also a reference to the classic science fiction novel Dune.
