Stranglethorn Tigers are hostile mobs found in Northern Stranglethorn, a vast jungle south of Duskwood in the Eastern Kingdoms. Northern Stranglethorn is part of Stranglethorn Vale, which is also the setting for one of Hearthstone's battlefields.

- The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Worldbreaker" series, for the card Avatar of the Wild.
- Stranglethorn Tiger's flavor text is a reference to "The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers", the personal theme song of Tigger from the Winnie the Pooh franchise.
