Calculations[edit source]

I ran some calculations today and found that, based on the 1/29 chance for each card generated by Cabalist's Tome to be another Cabalist's Tome, casting this card and all subsequent copies generated creates an average of 3 and 3/13 mage spells. I then ran a Python simulation with 1,000,000 trials which came within 1/50 of a percent of this number, so I'm pretty sure it's accurate. Would this be appropriate to add under the Notes section and what would be the appropriate way to cite these calculations? I'm new here and don't want to unwittingly break from normal procedure. -Celasen [07:49, 23 August 2016‎]

Hi Celasen :) This is certainly appropriate and you're welcome to add it to the page. A simple write-up of the in-game odds would be fine; you could then add a lengthier explanation as a reference if you'd like. (To add something as a reference, just put it between tags like this: <ref>Explanation.</ref>) -- Taohinton (talk) 20:28, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick response! That's added now as well as a simplified formula in the footnote for recalculating this value as more spells become added to the game. :) -Celasen 23:50, 24 August 2016‎ (UTC)
Very nice, looks good! -- Taohinton (talk) 19:55, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
