Is it only for minions or cards in general?[edit source]

I used the term 'drop' for a spell card:  Inner Rage - is it OK? -- Karol007 (talk) 12:09, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

I have never seen it used to describe spells. "Drop" is termed that way because it is a card you "drop on the board" from your hand onto the battlefield. In MTG, it only refers to permanents. -- Xinhuan (talk) 19:41, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
OK, thanks. I've changed 'drop' to simply 'card'. -- Karol007 (talk) 00:19, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Importance to tempo[edit source]

I think Drop#Importance to tempo oversimplifies the situation: the player can user their hero power, equip a weapon, cast a spell ... -- Karol007 (talk) 15:26, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

It does oversimplify the situation, but that's partly intentional. I actually think I made this page way too long, and much of the strategy discussion would be better split up among other pages. So, I am trying to summarize as much as possible and just refer to other pages at the end of each section. This is after all just a slang synonym for "minion", and while it has certain implications in various aspects of the game, the long discussion is better centralized somewhere more definitive.
My general idea is that deckbuilding concepts should go in Mana curve, in-game explanations and examples should go in Tempo, and minion value discussion should go in Minion. If I can get that done this page should only be a paragraph or two long and it'll be clear that it's just an overview. - jerodast (talk) 01:41, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

War Golem: balanced or costly?[edit source]

The example used says something completely different than War_Golem#Strategy: 'War Golem has below average stats for a 7-drop' v. 'Its stats are well balanced and among the best for this cost'. -- Karol007 (talk) 00:24, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Well, 7/7 for 7 is below the 'vanilla test', e.g.,  Boulderfist Ogre is a 6/7 for 6,  Chillwind Yeti is a 4/5 for 4, so War Golem should really be a 7/8 or such. In terms of most other 7-drops I suppose it's actually fairly good, except of course that those stats are reasonable because it lacks the powerful abilities most others have; for which an extra stat point or two is pretty small compensation. However, neither of the examples are particularly good ones. I've switched the wording for that one, at any rate. -- Taohinton (talk) 23:29, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
