Is it OK to add critique to the article?[edit source]

Joust looks like yet another effect that will make the game more of a spectacle, which is not to my liking. I have noting against RNG, although some parts of Hearthstone are essentially a glorified slot machine. The longish animations break the flow of the match and while muting the sound takes care of soundbites and other sound effects, there's no switch to flip to make the graphics and animations more barebones.

Is there a place in this wiki for adding such opinions? -- Karol007 (talk) 11:47, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

Heh well if you're looking for a "barebones" CCG I definitely think you've come to the wrong tavern :P
I think it depends on what exactly you'd like to add. If it's just "some people don't like this" I'm not sure it's worth documenting. Even if you could provide references of masses of complaints on the forums about it (and I doubt you could) the same could be true of a good proportion of the cards in the game, and there's no real value in adding such a section to every such page. -- Taohinton (talk) 00:38, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
If someone knows more about Hearthstone as a spectator sport, maybe they can add a paragraph on how the mechanics of the game influence the outcome of the match or something along this line. For me, it's as baffling as creating painstakingly detailed environments in a game about driving cars really fast <shrugs>
I don't know how the player, league and tournament sections of the wiki are progressing and whether such player, caster and viewer perspective should be a part of this wiki. -- Karol007 (talk) 01:22, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
I'm not entirely clear what you're suggesting, but I wouldn't say that wikis are really the best place for opinion pieces, especially very individual ones. Blogs and other media are better suited for that. -- Taohinton (talk) 19:54, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Add this to the front page?[edit source]

Could you add this article to the Card mechanics section of the front page (and to the table where Deathrattle and Inspire are, at the end of an article). Please?--Adûnâi (talk) 01:22, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Heh, I actually already did that, shortly before finding this message ;) -- Taohinton (talk) 00:33, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Is Raven Familiar a Joust card?[edit source]

Raven Familiar supposedly seems to use the same mechanics as Joust, except it Jousts with spells. Does it still counts as a Joust minion for this section? --96.67.147.214 19:55, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

I'm not sure, honestly. Since Joust doesn't exist as an official keyword, we could expand the wiki's unofficial definition of it to also include spells. However, given that Joust is so heavily themed around two minions jousting, and the fact that Joust originally included all cards but was later changed to just minions, I would personally say that it might be best to keep our definition of Joust as it is and Raven Familiar's mechanic as its own thing, while including a mention of Raven Familiar's Joust-like Battlecry on this page (something like " Raven Familiar's Battlecry functions similarly to Joust, but reveals spells rather than minions"). That's just my personal preference, though; I'm not sure what other editors think. --DeludedTroll (talk) 20:05, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
