I think this is how it works.
1) randomly select a non-Rogue class
2) do you have a favorite set for that class?
3) if so: transform rogue into that favorite.
If you do not manually "set favorite" for a class then it's possible that's what causes Maestra to keep you as a rogue.
I've for example only done a "set favorite" for classes that I got alt skins for: mage/paladin/priest/druid/warrior.
I don't have alt skins for hunter/demon hunter/warlock and have noticed that so far Maestra hasn't transformed me into those classes.
I do have an alt skin for Shaman but haven't actually set it yet, and haven't transformed into that either.
If you don't set a favorite hero then I think the game randomly selects which of your available skins it uses. It alternates between my basic shaman thrall and the free "Snowman Thrall" skin from this winter, for example, since I haven't specified either.
Once you specify a fave there's no going back (no un-favoriting for random selection) so it's a big decision, but it seems to be the only way for Maestra to change you into that class. Tycio (talk) 19:50, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
