Template:Card import

This template serves as a preload to quickly import a card from Hearthstone's official card data.

Usage

This template is not used directly, but rather combined with an action link.

https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/<Page name to create>?action=edit&preload=Card_import&preloadparams%5b%5d=<dbfId of the card>

After you visit the link, click on "Save changes" to confirm, so the card's data will be imported.

Notes

• This method does not work with already created pages. If you want to completely replace the whole page, you can visit this template's source between <includeonly> tags, replace $1 with dbfId of the card you want to import, or simply change however you like if you are already familiar with Cargo extension.
• This method should only be used by administrators. Regular members are not accessible to deleting pages tool, so if they mistakenly created a page, they would require an administrator to delete it.
• Available links can already be provided in Hearthstone Wiki:New cards, so all you have to do is to click on the link and "Save changes".

Example

1. Let's pretend page Primal Dungeoneer has not been created yet, as well as its data page. You want to create a data page about it.
2. You look up through the dbfId of Primal Dungeoneer and found out it's 63331. Therefore, you are going to create page Data:Cards/Primal Dungeoneer(63331).
3. Instead of using the traditional "Editing" tool like usual, you can actually use this link to create the page instead:
   https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/Data:Cards/Primal_Dungeoneer(63331)?action=edit&preload=Card_import&preloadparams%5b%5d=63331
4. However, this link will not work, as Data:Cards/Primal_Dungeoneer(63331) already existed. You can, however, try this in your sandbox with this link:

5. Click on "Save changes" to confirm.
