Early in the game, this minion can act as a supplement to  Wild Growth to quickly get you to 10 Mana. Once you've hit 10 Mana, you will want to choose to summon the 2/2 Slime instead. This essentially provides a 5/5 divided between two minions for 4 Mana, which is a lot of value for the cost. Even before hitting 10 Mana, there may be situations where you'd rather have multiple minions, such as if you have  Power of the Wild or  Soul of the Forest in your hand, in which case summoning the Slime would be the desired play. In either scenario, this minion is a solid choice for a midrange/control Druid deck.
