Crazed Alchemist and Kooky Chemist[edit source]

Re phttps://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Crazed_Alchemist?diff=422558&oldid=422557 reversion], at Kooky_Chemist#Notes it says to see Crazed Alchemist#Notes for detailed notes.

If it's not possible to use a Kooky Chemist example on the Crazy Alchemist notes then would that mean it's okay to include this example in the Kooky Chemist section?

Assuming that's the case for now I guess. I believe I figured out the math. Tycio (talk) 21:09, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

The problem is not on which chemist you put this, it is on the information itself: we don't put information from Adventure cards into Constructed cards. Plus, the information you are trying to depict already exists on Crazed Alchemist#Notes: "Boosts from auras will be incorporated into the new stats then subject to the aura a second time. For example, a player has a 3/1 minion on the board that is temporarily boosted to 4/2 due to the presence of a Stormwind Champion. When swapped its stats will permanently become 2/4 with a further temporary boost to 3/5 due to the Stormwind Champion's aura.". As Butch receives an aura, it falls under this principle. --Mattheus 45 (talk) 22:40, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

I had it in my head yesterday that Butch might be some weird special exception because the numbers didn't add up, but I'm realizing now this was because I was wrongly working from the 2/2 base that 5-mana Common Butch has, and not the 1/1 base that 4-mana Witchwood Butch has. Led me to the wrong conclusion he had a +22 prior to being swapped, but he actually had +23 both after AND before.

It's so strange that even though I knew there were 2 versions, I even had noticed the difference in mana cost, that it just didn't register about the 1/1 v 2/2 version until it was pointed out to me. Tycio (talk) 13:55, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

2nd word redirects[edit source]

I knew it would show up if people press enter in a complete search but I had thought that when you were just typing it into the field that it only gets auto-suggested if it begins with (rather than contains ) the string you're typing.

I now see that's not the case though (for example typing Jaina suggests  Kul Tiran Jaina despite there being no redirects so it seems like maybe Gamepedia has in its "contains" a better autosuggest feature in its search bar than the one I'm used to with Fandom, which is odd since I think they're affiliated and use similar software.

Barring that I guess the main use would just be if you want to link something like Shaw as opposed to Shaw. Gives a new option of "less text" vs "direct link". Tycio (talk) 21:37, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

A link like [[Shaw]] is not great, as if the redirection is used for another thing in the future, say a new minion with this name, then we would have to change all of this, when this could have been avoided in the first place. Plus, the minion's name is actually Houndmaster Shaw, not simply Shaw, so it shouldn't be used without the title. --Mattheus 45 (talk) 22:37, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

What about  Houndmaster Shaw ? When you play him in single-player Monster Hunt and the barkeep does the audio readout of the hero names he just says "Shaw". That seems to be pretty common for a lot of heroes actually, like he'll only say Jaina instead of Jaina Proudmoore and so on. Tycio (talk) 13:56, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
