Trivia
- This minion appears to be the same dinosaur seen on the Adapt choice card
Volcanic Might.
- A single golden copy of Volcanosaur was given out to each player logging in on April 5, 2017, to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Mammoth. The card was immediately playable in decks, before the full release of Journey to Un'Goro. Once obtained this way, both the regular and golden versions of Volcanosaur could be crafted and disenchanted.
- This was the first card in the game that could be used in Play mode before the release of the expansion it belonged to.
