Lore[edit | edit source]
Deathbringer Saurfang is the fourth boss in the Icecrown Citadel raid. He is described as being the Lich King's most powerful death knight.
He was Dranosh Saurfang, the son of Varok Saurfang, who was killed by The Lich King at the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate. Dranosh was raised in undeath by the Lich King, brought to Icecrown Citadel, and turned into a death knight. He was sent to guard the upper reaches of Icecrown Citadel, and he was eventually killed by adventurers. After his second death, Varok appeared to claim his deceased son's body.
