Notes

To edit these notes, go to Template:Lakkari Sacrifice notes.

  • The Nether Portal summoned by the spell Nether Portal (which is generated by Lakkari Sacrifice) summons two 3/2 Nether Imps on the left and right sides of the Nether Portal minion, at the end of each turn of the controlling player.
  • The Nether Portal is a Permanent, meaning that it is untargetable and immune to all external effects. For details, see Permanent.
  • The Lakkari Sacrifice quest progress only counts successful discards, meaning that activating a discard effect while having an empty hand will not count towards the quest.[1]
  • Quest rewards are added to the hand after the phase in which they were completed.
    • Therefore, it's impossible to discard the  Nether Portal due to a single effect that discards two cards.
Example:  Doomguard is played with this Quest at 5/6 progress. Doomguard discards two cards from those already in hand, then Nether Portal is added to the hand.
  • This, like other Quests, can complete yet fail to generate its reward, if the player's hand is full at the time. In that case, there would be no further opportunity to complete that Quest.
Example:  Soulfire is played with this Quest at 5/6 progress, 9 other cards in hand, and two Malchezaar's Imps in play. During the "spell effects" phase of casting, a card is discarded, then the Imps trigger, drawing two cards total, for a total of 10 cards in hand. The Quest completes at the end of this phase, but Nether Portal cannot be added to the hand. That Quest cannot be completed again.
  • On-discard effects such as  Silverware Golem's will not prevent that discard from counting towards the quest progress.[1]
  •  Tome Tampering with at least six cards in hand will complete this quest instantaneously without depriving the character of the cards - this is also advantageous since at 3-mana it can make high-cost cards like Denathrius more accessible. Putting the cards back in deck can also prevent getting milled. If cards are needed sooner, playing it with  Malchezaar's Imp on the board will re-draw to the same hand size.

The Lakkari Tar Pits are, as the name implies, tar pits found in northern Un'Goro Crater, just below Marshal's Refuge. Flowers, Tarblossoms grow at the bottom of these pits, which have gone unnoticed for a long time. Tar beasts live in the area among several giant bones of creatures that got stuck here.
