Water Rogue is a Rogue deck type. It is a variant of Aggro Rogue that came into existence after Patch 7.1.

The name "Water Rogue" comes from the fact that it plays a significant number of both Murlocs and Pirates, both being minion types related to water.

History[edit | edit source]

Refined at a very late stage in the life of the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion, Water Rogue exploded onto the scene with great results. The nerf to  Small-Time Buccaneer brought this deck ahead of competing aggro decks at the time, and gave it a huge boost in popularity. The deck's ability to cycle consistently with cards such as  Swashburglar,  Shaku, the Collector, Finja, the Flying Star and even  The Curator allowed it to easily out-value other aggro decks.
